The walk will then go along the railway path towards Ashton and cut through the farm back towards daisy nook.

Mothers Day Walk
Meet at Daisy Nook Visitor Centre - StannyBrook Road. walking along canal path then above Brookdale Golf Club, through Woodhouses and back to the Visitor Centre. Perhaps have a brew before heading back if you have time.
This walk is only a couple of hours long.
Parking at the visitor centre may be tricky but there are more places down the road at the garden centre.

Easter Monday Marsden Moor Walk
Lets do a great walk and enjoy those choccy Easter Eggs when we get back. Start point is Brun Clough Reservoir, Huddersfield Road/Manchester Road (A62), we will start waking about 9am and the route is about 10 miles long.
There is a small car park but can get full pretty quick. i have posted the what3words address and google maps image in the comments.
Bring a drink and snack if you like we will have a pit stop and we will be also be stopping at the pub a bit further on.
There is a waterfall we will be passing about 1 hour into the walk which can

Meeting 9am on the main/large car park at dovestones near the "public toilets"
"Parking" pay by card or cash usually,its not expensive,
"Pay for 4 hours" couple of quid approx.
I recall two machine's. or park on the main road and walk in.
This walk is something we have wanted to-do with the last couple of groups,but we have been unable due to the game shooting.
On this walk we will head to the waterfall looking up at the trinnicle's then walking back in a loop along side the reservoirs,possibly mid height hills but nothing on edges/drops or anything like that.
Essential kit,suitable clothing and footwear.
Food & drink is usually available at a mobile unit,but please bring a bit of something at the very least.

04:30 is the time i want us to be setting off walking so please arrive atleast 15 minutes before we are set to leave.
I know It's an early start but it will be worth it for the SUNRISE which is at 05:27 last time we did this it Took us 13 hours hence the early start time
Langset to Ladybower circular walk
This is a 28 mile route with the odd up and down all mainly paths from experience walking trainers would be the best choice for this

Denshaw - Hollingworth Lake Midnight Walk.
More indepth details posted nearer the time but the idea is to be walking with torches at Midnight across to Hollingworth Lake then back to cars.
I can say the walk is 10-12 miles (dependant on route taken back to cars).

Sooo The Camino Portuguese is in the planning for Easter 2025 the dates will be circa April 25th Easter holidays ( for the ones who can only have school holidays the dates will be during the Easter holidays), this route starts in Porto and we finish in Oia , the mileage will be very similar to what we did walking from Sarria > Santiago.
On this route ……..
- you do not get a certificate you still collect stamps then when you eventually complete the next leg Oia > Santiago you will get the certificate from the beginning in Porto
- we would fly into Porto where we start the walk, when we land in Oia it’s one train back to Porto for the flight home
- This time we are looking at B&B / Apartments - and not hostels
It is very early days at the minute we are just trying to gauge to see who is interested
